Becky Sweat
Ever since she was a small child, Becky has loved to cook. Her favorite toy as a young girl was an Easy-Bake Oven. During her college years, her sorority sisters nicknamed her "Home-Ecky Becky," because they often found her in the kitchen preparing desserts or reading cookbooks. Becky studied advertising and journalism at Michigan State University. She has worked as an advertising copywriter, editorial researcher, reporter and editor. For the past 15 years, she has worked full-time as a freelance journalist for over 100 magazines, newspapers and websites. Becky has published close to 3,000 articles, plus two books on pet health and nutrition. Most of her published articles relate to pets/veterinary issues, health, family issues, science and current affairs. She lives in the Dallas area with her husband, Tom; two teenage sons, Danny and Brandon; one Amazon parrot; and an English Springer Spaniel.
